We are proud to announce our achievement of an Enhancing Grade following a full CIMSPA Quality Assurance Review – a recognised quality benchmark that demonstrates our ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality education, learner support, and industry-focused training.
The CIMSPA review assessed our delivery, processes, learner journey, and quality standards across a range of areas. The outcome recognised the strong practices embedded throughout our organisation and highlighted our commitment to continuous improvement.
A key strength identified was our employer-led approach to training. Through strong relationships with industry partners, COPA works closely with employers to understand skills needs and develop programmes that support learners into meaningful employment opportunities. Our Exercise Referral Skills Bootcamp was highlighted as an example of effective collaboration between education and industry.
The review also recognised the quality and structure of our learning programmes, including clear delivery plans, effective assessment methods, engaging resources, and a blended approach that supports learners through tutor-led sessions, online learning, and workplace experience.
Our dedicated team of tutors and assessors were recognised for their knowledge, qualifications, and commitment to professional development. Ongoing CPD activity, including safeguarding, equality and diversity, mental health awareness, and sector-specific training, ensures our learners receive support from knowledgeable and experienced professionals.
The review also praised our learner support processes, including career guidance, regular feedback opportunities, and the systems we use to monitor learner progress and enhance the learning experience.
Achieving an Enhancing Grade reflects the hard work of our team, the commitment of our learners, and the strength of our employer partnerships. The report concluded that North Wales Training demonstrates good practice across the review areas, with a clear focus on maintaining and improving quality.
We are incredibly proud of this achievement and remain committed to raising standards, supporting career progression, and delivering training that makes a positive difference across the active leisure sector.
